Dear Diary,
I had a great time in Beijing today.There is an old saying in China goes like this:"the ones have yet been to The Great Wall are not heroes".I felt it indeed today.It had been raining recently here in Beijing,however,we were extremely lucky to have the sun with us the whole day today,though sometimes it was too hot.We spent the entire morning there,we took pictures and looked at the miracle made by the ancient Chinese dynasty.It amazed me and my friends how intelligent and skillful these artists were.
In the afternoon,we visited the Palace Museum,the place was a paradigm of elegance and grandeur.As much as we wanted to take pictures and visit every corner of the Palace where the old kings lived,the sign "No pictures" definitely forbade us to do so.Though it was sad that we couldn't capture these great scenes in pictures,I thought the warning was plausible; after all,you cannot know too much about the secret lives of the old empire.
I think today was an awesome day,we had a great time in Beijing.And I hope we can visit more places tomorrow.So far,everything has been so wonderful!

I took a great vacation last summer .I went to Beijing with my parents .The weather was sunny .We went to the Great Wall and it was great,I think.Then we went to the Palace Museum .It was cool .Next we visited Tian'anmen Square .It was baeutiful .There are many rules in these places.For exanple ,people can't throw rubbish here and there .Be quiet and friendly when visiting .Take care of the things in them and so on .
