In Minority Report,Tom Cruise plays a detective who steps into an immersive computer environment to solve crimes.The 'data CAVE' (Configurable Automatic Virtual Environment) brings together information from disparate souces,making it easier to see patterns and spot potential criminals.
Purdue University scientists are developing a similar "data-rich" environment to display data and interact with researchers in the language of their specific disciplines.
For example,"If you were a chemist,you could walk right up to this display and move molecules and atoms around to see how the changes would affect a formulation or a material's properties," said James Caruthers from Purdue.
Such a system could enable scientists to deal better with the recent explosion of data now available to them.
The new approach proposed by Purdue researchers is called "discovery informatics" and would allow researchers to test out new theories and see how their ideas work in real-time using a 3D display.

As far as we know,we are living in a world which is full of chanllengings and opportunies.Thereby I decide that we should do something "go with the time",as it does in the case of we always like surfing online all the time.If you want to ask me what things we could do online,I think you can almost do anything you want.That's the present life.Imagining that what thing will be taking place in the future.Perhaps it is one world,at least,containing some new technology--on biology,chemistry,physicis and some other subjects.
But,in my opition,I wish that I could travell from any parts of the world to somewhere that I want to go.Maybe others have their ideas on this topic.However,it is possibe for everyone to imagine the mysterious future life.

What will we be in the future? What will our lives be in the future? Everyone has thought about it. But we can’t tell the future. We can only guess and have a wonderful dream.
Many people hope that the science will be better and better. And our life will be more and more convenient. The best thing is that robots can help us do all the things. But I don’t like this.
Now we have many tools to contact with others. Like telephones, MSN, QQ etc. But have you found that the chatting between each other becomes less and less. The distance between two hearts is farther and farther. I can’t think if our lives become more and more convenient. Then how far will the distance among hearts be? Will the lies be more? How horrible it will be!
Our memory is very limited. So we will forget many things in the future. Some are nice. The others are something we don’t want to remember. I don’t want to forget any beautiful memories. Put them together will find they were once my life. Can I forget my life? No, I mustn’t. But people are like this. We can never pick up the things were forgotten by us. They are just like sand. When it blows, they will fly away and we can never find them.
Think of it: you are walking in the street one day. Someone pats your shoulder and say:’ oh! It’s you! Do you remember me?’ you search him in your memory, but you don’t have any result. Perhaps he was your best friend and you have so many wonderful memories. Perhaps you can only remember the name but you forget his face. Perhaps you are finding him too. Then isn’t it very unlucky that you met him but you didn’t know.
I’m afraid that I will forget everyone in the future. In my dream, I can see I work with all my friends. And we have a big house to live in. of course we live together. Everyday the house is full of laugh. We are very happy. But can it be true? Can we be like this? No, I know it’s only a dream. And the future can never be a dream.
By these reasons I don’t like future. There are many endings in the future. There are many changing in the future. Friends can be strangers. Remember can be forget. But I like future in some ways. It’s full of new things. It’s exciting.
We don’t know what will take place in the future. So in our minds, everything is new. If we can see through the future, and know everything will happen. Isn’t it meaning the things will take place two times? Then don’t you feel the life is boring and old?
Maybe in the future we will have a machine which can take us back to the past or go to the future. So we will never forget anything anymore. We can go back to see what happened in the past.
Maybe people can do like what Harry Potter does. I think everyone wants to have magic.
Maybe people can travel to the Mars and live on the moon in the future.
Maybe people can live under the water.
Maybe...
There are many choices in the future. Anything may be probable. But each way we go is very hard and needed us to be hard-working. Then the endings of our roads can be regretless and brilliant.
Let’s look forward to the future and do our best now. Let the stars twinkle in our own clear sky!

In 2050, the use of computers will become more pervasive. Senior high school students will have little homework and all they have to learn is computer programming, because computer programs will do almost anything for people. When people become ill, they don't have to go to hospital because computer will tell them what's the matter with them and tell them what to do with their illness. The computer can even perform operations on patients. When 2050 comes, people will be able to visit Mars. There may even be human settlers there. Because of this, there will be no more traffic conjestinos on the earth.What's more, human beings may have successfully come into contact with beings from other planets.
