此处是省略了for sb,所以do是相对于sb而言,并非相对于sth而言.sb具体指什么需要看句意,一般在指for me或者for us,就会省略掉了,如果是指其他人,一般不会省略.
如：

there is some meat for the dog to eat.

这个句子不适用于以上规则,为什么呢?因为这里不是there is sth而是there is sb.所以关于there is sth的规律并不适用于此例.
there is sb (for sb) to.
句中隐含有两个sb,一定要弄清楚两个sb分别与动词的关系,否则会造成歧义.
在本句中,there is sb中的sb是动作（take care of）的承受者,即宾语,for sb中的sb是动作的施动者.因此在for sb省略的情况下,to后面必须用被动形式,否则句子的意思就不明确了.
